REGATTA POWER BOATS

For the first time in three years the power boats returned to the Regatta with some exciting finishes.

Georgina Marks the only open female competitor racing in Lunatic managed to beat the male competitors in two of the races.  The Regatta crowds were thrilled with the Junior races with Clayton  Marks and Page Hill competing in their specially made Junior racing boats.  These boats have to be under 15ccs,and on this occasion Marks in Rockstar  proved a little better then Hill in Hard Core The highlight of the day was the final race that was re-run because of a collision on the first turn between Patriot and Deception.  Deception pulled out of the re-run but the crowd was not disappointed.  Gambler had watchers amazed when it became airborne skidding along on its propeller before gaining control and finishing in third place behind Patriot and Diamond Racing.
